My goals were:

• To learn how to grow on social media
• Create an online product

Reality

• Got over 5k followers on Threads.
• Released Interweave Threads analytics (among a few other small products)
• Met a lot of really cool people

I would say reality surpassed my expectations. Not only did I get over 5k followers from scratch, I also got nearly 50 million total views across all my posts. That is wild. And Interweave had over 30k users. I also released a beta for Bluesky, though it had markedly less interest. I also learned that tying yourself to a social media platform is pretty bad, both for your audience and your product. The Threads API was not very fun, flexible, or easy to work with. It doesn’t help that Meta turned off a lot of people who were previous users of Interweave as well. So I created Interweave’s Bluesky edition for those people.

I’ve taken a bit of a break since the beginning of the year, but you can see what I’m up to now.
